Relay for Life, 2012

Relay for Life Auction

THANKS TO EVERYONE THAT SUPPORTED THIS AUCTION. IT IS NOW CLOSED.

In support of the Relay for Life, Airport Chevy and a group of Wells Fargo Dealer Services team members are working together to raise funds to benefit the American Cancer Society.

Bids for the following two groups of Don Larsen memorabilia can be placed at our Facebook Fan page, here. To bid, just post to our wall, and include the dollar amount and the Group you are placing a bid on. We will do an end-of-day posting of highest bids here every day and at facebook. (Note: you can also send bids by email by clicking here.)

Harry & David has generously donated a wonderful gift basket to be auctioned! See below.

Urban Minx in Medford has donated a very nice handbag. See below.

Bids will be accepted until midnight, Friday, May 25th. Early the following week the winning bids will be announced and the winners contacted.

[An inexpert valuation suggests that the Don Larsen memorabilia may be worth $700 or more. Bidders need to do their own due diligence. Here is a link showing the value of just one of the items.]

Special Bonus from Craig Merz: "The higher of the two winning bids for the Don Larsen packages will also receive a signed picture of Tom Seaver (MLB Hall of Fame Class of 1992) and Nolan Ryan (MLB Hall of Fame Class of 1999). Both men were members of the 1969 Miracle Mets World Series Champions. While the picture does not have a certificate of authenticity, my father sent it to both men for their signatures, and is confident that it is genuine. My father was a pitching coach at USC in the late 1960's to early 1970's, and was mentioned in Tom Seaver's book. Another USC Alumni, Tom House, was the pitching coach for the Texas Rangers while Nolan Ryan pitched there. My father utilized his connections to get both men to sign the item."

Our Reason to Relay

The team at Wells Fargo Dealer Services is excited to honor Greg Mills and his fight against cancer. Our Team name Mill's Militia means that we are dedicated to fighting cancer one step at a time.

We are making a difference by teaming up to participate in the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life.

At the event, our team will camp out overnight and take turns walking around the track to raise money and awareness to help the American Cancer Society create a world with less cancer and more birthdays.

Saving lives from cancer starts one team, one participant, and one dollar at a time. Our team is doing our part to make sure that cancer never steals another year of anyone's life.

Please join our team or make a donation. The impact we can make together is much greater than what any of us could do alone!

The money collected for the 2 winning bids is going to the 2012 Relay for Life event to benefit the American Cancer Society.

Visit The Mill's Militia's page where those who wish to can make a direct contribution or learn about other ways to participate.
